Jayalini Assalaarachchi

Jayalini earned her Bachelor鈥檚 at Cardiff University in Wales and followed this with a MSc in Health and Clinical Sciences at the University of Surrey in Guildford. Having developed an interest in drug resistance and ovarian cancer whilst investigating the MET receptor as part of her MSc thesis, she went on to investigate possible biomarkers that could be used to identify a drug-resistance phenotype in epithelial ovarian cancer for her PhD. Having earned her doctorate just before the COVID pandemic hit, she began working as a Research Scientist at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford as part of the Gynaecological Oncology department. Three years on, working in patient-focussed research looking at the pandemic鈥檚 effects on gynaecological cancer treatment, she decided to move to a more lab-intensive role beginning work as the Roving Researcher at the 99热久草热最新地址 in 2023.
